Recommended Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for a 2018 Ford Mustang Fastback

Question:
I have a 2018 Fastback Mustang and I am needing a way to transport my bike. I don't want an option that touches my new vehicle so it looks like a trailer hitch is the way I need to go. What hitch would be best for this and do you have a good bike rack option too? Thank you for your time.

Out of the Curt # C11405 and Draw-Tite # 24928 trailer hitches I recommend going with the Curt. This USA made trailer hitch has about 1/2" more ground clearance and it doesn't have the welded tab inside the receiver which can be a pain when it comes to using a bike rack.
Please note that the Curt warranty does require the use of a support strap like part # 18050 for non-trailer loads like this bike rack. Also since this is a Class I trailer hitch you are limited to carrying only 2 bikes.
If you are only going to be carrying one bike then I highly recommend the Kuat # KU64FR. It's compatible with the class 1 receiver mentioned previously, and holds one bike up to 60lbs.
I have attached an installation video of the trailer hitch on a 2015 Mustang and a review video of this bike rack for you to check out.
