This Class I trailer hitch receiver adds real functionality while keeping a clean look under the bumper. The concealed cross tube keeps most of the hitch out of sight so only the 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" opening is visible. It looks tidy and doesn’t take away from the car’s lines, yet it’s strong enough for small trailers, bike racks, and cargo carriers rated up to 2,000 lbs GTW and 200 lbs TW.
You don’t need a lift or a welder to get this hitch on your car. The bolt-on design uses the vehicle’s existing mounting points, and the custom fit means the holes line up right where they should. The hitch comes with a complete hardware kit and installation instructions, so you can take your time in the driveway and get a snug, factory-like fit.
The fully welded, square-tube steel construction gives this hitch sturdy strength for towing and carrying gear. It’s finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer that resists rust and road grime. Whether you’re adding a bike rack or towing a lightweight trailer on a weekend trip, this setup stays solid and keeps its good looks through years of use.
The receiver fits standard 1-1/4" ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers designed for Class I hitches. Pair it with accessories like a drawbar, hitch pin and clip, or wiring harness when you’re ready to tow. It’s an easy way to expand what your vehicle can do without adding bulk or complexity.

Great fit
Perfect fit. Easy to install.
Being a critic of welds, I chose CURT. Excellent powder coat job. Design caps the tube ends but still had weep hole. Thought went into design and it shows.
Fit my 2014 Mustang perfect. Use it to tow a Hobie tandem island and it works great.
Fast delivery and easy installation.
Always great service
Fast delivery and good quality. Easy instructions and installation
Quality hitch, great price and fast shipping. Easy to do business with. Highly recommend.
install was about 2 hours alone with a jack but my arms were killing me after. it is best to remove mufflers completely so the wire can be fished through easier. the hitch is nicely hidden.
Looks great on my 2014 Mustang. I'm very pleased with the product.
It was definitely not as easy for me to install as it was for the guys in the installation video on YouTube.
It took me about 3 hours to install (with help from my wife). Fishing the guide wires for the bolts took forever. I finally had to make a tool (hook) to pull them through the tiny holes in the Mustang's frame.
Also my mufflers didn't fall down, out of the way, like the ones in the installation video. I ended up hitting the clamp with a mallet to break the seal between the muffler and the tailpipe. I'm hoping the exhaust system is sealed after bolting everything back together.
My advice to others is to take your product to a muffler shop have them install it. My local shop estimated $80 for the installation. It would be money well spent.
Reasonably fast shipping (5 days)...
The hitch receiver is great and fairly discreet. Installation was as easy as following the basics instructions provided and/or watching the video online. I would recommend to anyone looking to pull a small trailer with a Mustang.
Hitch works great. I had some trouble installing it because a spot-weld was protruding on the inside of the bumper. I would recommend testing the hitch position before threading the bolts into the frame. Put the bolts through the holes from the outside to make sure the hitch fits, then make any adjustments before fitting. The hitch has held up well though, and it should be an easy fit if no-one has spot-welded your bumper.
No complaints about the product itself but a warning to Mustang GT owners - if you have aftermarket exhaust like many GT owners do, this product is NOT an easy DIY job and it may not fit at all, depending on what exhaust you have. I have Borla S-Types and it fit...but the muffler shop had to weld new hangers on the mufflers and do some other adjustments to make it all fit. Cost me $150 to have them do the work and it looks good...but it's not a DIY job unless you're really good with exhaust and can weld.
Expedient delivery and everything arrived in perfect condition. Exactly what I needed
The hitch fits great to my Mustang 2012. I use it exclusively to transport my bikes using a Thule Rack since my car is not designed to tow anything. It this was an opinion I am very sure the hitch could do it with not issues. The constructions is solid and the fitting to the car was very straight forward. Highly recommend.
The installation instructions are good but I would add a few things to make it easier for a solo install DIYer:
Use carriage bolts to hold the hitch in place after tapping with a rubber mallet to line up holes.
Once the temporary carriage bolts are installed place a bottle jack in the middle of hitch to fine tune the hitch hole and frame hole alignment.
Remove the muffler to be able to use a torque wrench. Also, I lifted my Mustang in 4 jack stands for maximum safety and clearance.
Hitch fit my Mustang perfectly, and the crossbar is tucked up underneath the bumper to create a clean installation. I was concerned that threading the bolts through the frame using the enclosed wire would be hit and miss, but it worked well and wasn’t a problem.

Looks great, Jonathan! What are you going to be carrying in the cargo carrier?
