Question:
Hello, for part # CC-125 Bike Rack Adapter for Stromberg Carlson Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier, could you please answer the following questions? 1. illustrated in fig. 1 in the attached jpg file when installed on a carrier, what is the height of the tip of the adapter the perpendicular distance from the tip of the adaptor to the surface of the carrier platform? Im interested in knowing how much clearance I would between the adapters and my vehicle when I fold the cargo carrier. 2. illustrated in fig. 2 in the attached jpg file what is the dimension of the base of the adapter? In one of the QandAs, Michael H measured the dimension of the loop of the bracket. But Im interested in knowing how many pairs of adapters I can install on following 2 carriers A. 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2inch Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs Item # C18153 B. 19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2inch Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs Item # C18100 Thanks!

When bolted into place on the deck of a hitch cargo carrier like # C18151 or # C18100 the pointed tip of the adapter will be 11-1/2-inches above the mounting surface. This measurement is taken in a straight vertical direction above the carrier deck. The mounting bracket has overall dimensions of 8-1/4 x 2-inches.
I took these two measurements myself in our warehouse and I put both on the photo I prepared for you.
The real limiting factor in how many of these pairs of bike carriers you can install on any given carrier is the fit of the bikes themselves. Facing bikes in opposing directions can enable a closer fit. The kit comes with two pairs (4 total) wheel hoops to allow transporting two bikes.
