Question:

2010 mini s hardtop, will blue ox work? If not what do you recommend. On the utube video you show installation of 1307 on a mini s, is this correct?

I reached out to Blue Ox and there is not a confirmed fit for your 2010 Mini Cooper S Hardtop, but I do have a solution for you.

I recommend the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 521877-1 which is confirmed to fit your Model S Hardtop. Then I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 2 # RM-520 for your tow bar and # RM-643 for your safety cables. You can use the plugs # RM-210 when not in use if desired.

For your wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster LED Bulb and Socket Kit # RM-152-LED. This will have you add LED's to your tail light housing for a clean look. I recommend connecting this kit to the RoadMaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7 and using charge line kit # RM-156-25 to charge your Mini Cooper battery while towing.

For your supplemental braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251. This system is a customer favorite because it becomes plug and play after installation and is completely out of the way when not in use. You will also need the stop light switch # RM-751440 to allow the motorhome brake-monitoring system to activate.

Finally, you will need a high-low adapter. These are a custom fit between your motorhome and vehicle, so I have attached an article to help you determine the correct fit and then have linked the page to your options for your convenience.

Some extras you may want to consider are the Roadmaster Guardian Rock Guard # RM-4000, the Tow Defender Protective Screening # RM-4750, and the tow bar cover # RM-055-3.

Even though the manufacturer has not confirmed the fit, we have installed the # BX1307 on a 2010 Mini S hard top, so it will fit. It however is not the best option as the manufacturer has not confirmed the fit. I recommend using the Roadmaster components which are a fit and the manufacturer will warranty should you encounter any issues.
