If your turn signals work at first and then stop, even though your turn signal is still on in your 2009 Dodge Challenger, it sounds like you have a problem with your ground wiring.
You will want to make sure your grounds are securely attached to bare metal surfaces free of any paint, dirt or corrosion of any kind. It is also a good idea to ensure that each of your trailer lights has its own ground, which will help eliminate one light causing an issue with other lights on your trailer.
I have added a cut out for from our help article on trailer wiring which goes into some detail on how to check your ground connections; I've added a link to this help article for you to check out.
It is also recommended you use Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent any type of future corrosion in your connector and extend its lifespan and durability.
