Parts Needed to Install Trailer Wiring and Brake Controller in 2018 Ford Explorer

I may be buying a 2018 basic ford explorer. I am considering having the dealer install the hitch without the 4 way plug. Should I do this any use your electric brake kit? How much for the kit to make it the round plug compatible? Hard to install? i have an aluminum trailer with electric brakes. Thanks

The easiest way would be to order the 2018 Ford Explorer with a factory 7-way so that all you need is the install harness # 3035-P with a brake controller like the P3 part # 90195.
But if you go without it you can install a 4-way like the part # 118540 and then convert it to a 7-way with part # ETBC7 so that you can install a brake controller.
