Question:

I would like to compare the SumoSprings Helper Springs vs Timbren rubber enhancement for a 2016 Ram 1500 4wd crew cab. I occasionally tow a rather large 5th wheel camper but normally no more than a trailer with mower. Otherwise I am running empty most of the time. I would appreciate pros and cons of both products as well as ease of installation.

The Timbren Suspension Enhancement # TDR1500DQ that fits a 2016 Ram 1500 crew cab (unless you have factory air suspension) are hollow rubber springs, which is the biggest difference between these and the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-307-47 which are made of a microcellular urethane foam.

What this means is that your Ram is going to have a stiffer ride with the Timbrens than the SumoSprings. Each option is going to help you reduce side-to-side roll and provide enough support to help prevent sagging but since you said you will be running empty most of the time, the SumoSprings # SSR-307-47 is the better option because your ride will be much smoother compared to the rubber jounce springs of the Timbrens.
