Suspension Enhancement for 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Towing Travel Trailer

Question:

Im getting a small trailer 17foot Casita travel trailer with approximately 400-450 lbs. of wet tongue weight. I want to carry my 400 lb. dual sport motorcycle in the bed of my truck. With cargo, motorcycle, passenger, etc. Ill need to manipulate the sag and maintain level. I was originally just going to go with a curt friction sway control device to control sway, but with wanting to carry my motorcycle, I may now need to adjust the sag. Should I get a WD hitch or go with some type of suspension add-on? Previously, I used the Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch for a 22 foot single axle trailer, but the hitch itself was quite heavy, thus Im seeking different options this trailer is smaller and lighter than the previous one. Weight distribution is a solid solution for your towing setup but since you didn't like the experience of using the Fastway kit you had and basically all of the kits are going to be about the same I'd recommend going with suspension enhancement to give you the support you want with less hassle.

For your 2019 Ram 1500 Classic the best option for that is the SumoSprings kit part # SSR-307-47 which will give you the best combination of support, ride quality, and ease of use. Other options would make the ride quality harsher or would require maintaining air pressure which is one more thing to worry about.
