Question:
Do trailer tires need to be balanced? the reason I asked is the tires on my trailer now I dont see any balance weights?
asked by: Don S
Helpful Expert Reply:
Trailer Tires do not require balance weights based on their design and function. They are balanced based on high point and low point of the wheel and tire being used together. The high point is marked on the tire and will be placed in line with the valve stem on the trailer wheel.
You can have them balanced using weights but you will need to use a pin plate adapter for the wheel to balance correctly as they are different that vehicle wheels. All of our combinations come ready to install and use.
