Wiring Installation of Curt 4-Pole Harness C59236 in 2013 Mini Countryman

Question:

Vehicle 2013 mini cooper countryman s PWM system Im guessing, So I probed for the 3 signal tail turn stop Brown from the convertor is said to be grounded with white on PWM Is this correct So I will only be using red stop and yellow Left turn on DS and Green PS right turn Is this correct ? Thanks And am I to assume this is the correct pinout regardless of color?

Curt 4-pole trailer wiring harness # C59236 is a confirmed fit on your 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman S. For both types of PWM wiring systems, ST (combined stop and tail) and STT (combined stop, turn AND tail) you DO ground the harness brown wire along with the white ground wire.

For the ST wiring setup the RED wire splices to the stop/tail wire. For the STT wiring setup the RED wire also grounds along with the harness brown and white wires and only the green and yellow wires splice to the vehicle.

Always wire by function (not vehicle wire color), based on your test probe results, according to the linked installation guide.
