Can Kuat NV 2.0 Convert From 4-Bike to 2-Bike Carrier?

Question:
I would like to confirm that this is a 4 bike Carrier that can be taken apart and turned into a 2 bike carrier when necessary ? I liked the features of the NV2 2.0 but I think it is overkill for what I need for weight and the bar you can use to repair your bike so I think this is the model that is like it in many ways other that those two features I dont need but the two mentioned but please confirm. FYI: I have a Honda CRV 2015 with a 2inch Curt hitch 3500 lb capacity. The bikes I am carrying are a Specialized hard rock, Trek and something from REI I cant remember the name. I also have a 12inch bike for my toddler but it doesnt appear that it can go on the rack. I have a Thule Yepp seat that I would like to keep attached to my bike when transporting if possible. The other carrier I was looking at is the Thule T2 Pro XT. Thanks for your time.

I'd be happy to confirm for you that yes, the Kuat NV 2.0 Base 4-Bike Platform Rack # BA22B-BA02B can indeed convert from a 4-bike carrier to a 2-bike carrier.
To do this, there are 4 hex head bolts that you remove with an Allen key (which is included) and slide it right out. As for your bikes fitting so long as they are between 25" and 29" they will be fine.
