We have everything needed to equip your 1999 Lincoln Town Car so that it can pull your boat trailer.
Starting with the trailer hitch, I recommend the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch # 13707. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your Lincoln Town Car and it features a towing capacity of 4,000 pounds. I recommend also verifying the capacity of your vehicle by checking your copy of the owner's manual. You will need to follow whichever capacity is lower, the vehicle's or the hitch's.
I have attached the written installation instructions for this hitch that you can also take a look at.
Then to power your trailer's signal lights, you will need a vehicle wiring harness. For this, I recommend the Wiring Harness Kit # C59496. This is a universal hardwire kit that includes a circuit tester to help with identifying the correct wires on the vehicle to connect to. This will give you a 4-Way connector at the rear of your Lincoln Town Car to power a trailer's basic signal lights.
Finally, in order to tow a trailer you will need a ball mount and hitch ball. The Curt Class III Drawbar # C45270, along with the Pin and Clip # C21500 is a nice option that features either a 2 inch rise or a 4 inch drop. Its 13 inch long shank will also work well for the hitch on your vehicle, which is a bit recessed from the rear bumper. You will just need to add a compatible hitch ball that works with your trailer, such as the 2 inch # 40038 or the 1-7/8 inch # C40017.
I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best ball mount for your setup if this particular model does not have the rise or drop needed to tow your trailer level. I have also attached a link that will take you to our available selection of ball mounts that you can look through.

I have a hidden hitch already mounted on my 1999 Lincoln town car, but it doesn't have the arm and ball for it! The opening is around 3/4 inch high and the with is about 13/4 wide can you help me find one that will work for me?
