Question:
Whats the dimension from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back edge of that reinforcement plate thats welded to the 2 inch tube and the 3/4 inch plate? I need to use it in the rise position and I need to be sure that the reinforcement plate will not hit my bumper before the hitch pin will go in. The hitch is an aftermarket installation on a 96 Chevy Express passenger van. My hitch assembly is set in under the edge of the bumper about a half inch. Thanks.

The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the gusset welded onto the Curt # C45311 is 4 inches, as shown in the provided photo.
If you're wanting something with a longer shank for additional clearance, I'd recommend the Curt # C45270 which would offer a similar rise/drop but with a shank that's 8 inches long, measured from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the ball platform. The ball mount is rated for 7500 lbs.
I've also provide a photo of this ball mount showing the relevant dimensions.
