Installation and Details of Optronics Mini LED Lights # MCL11CRKB
Updated 09/06/2011 | Published 09/02/2011 >
Question:
I just learned about these new leds on your site. Do you have installed photos of the product? or video? It says they are recessed, so is it only the lens cover that sticks out and the black ring is the grommet? or is there a black ring sticking out as well as the clear lens, and then a black nut on the inside you tighten? how bright are these? I love how compact these are, but would love to see one better, before committing to ordering a bunch. Looking forward to your answer.

I contacted our representative at Optronics about the Mini LED Lights, part # MCL11CRKB. I have attached a side angle view of this light that our representative at Optronics sent. At this time we do not have installed pictures of the light or a video of the light.
The lens cover sticks out slightly as you can see from the picture and the black ring is the grommet. To install, you will need to have an 11/16 inch hole drilled to insert the grommet. Then, the light pushes into the grommet for a snug fit.
Since this is an LED light, it will burn brighter than an incandescent light. The advantage of LED lights is that they do burn brighter, but they also draw less power than traditional incandescent lights.
