Question:

The circuit diagram for the Tekonsha Voyager does not include a fuse. Can you tell me if this is correct and what current this red wire actually takes. Thanks,

If you are hardwiring the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 in to your tow vehicle then you need to connect the following colors on the included pigtail to the following functions:

Black - 12V Power to battery
White - Ground
Blue - Brake Controller pin on 7-Way
Red - COLD side of Stop Light Switch (only gets hot when the brake pedal is pressed)

The Black wire actually needs a 20A automatic circuit breaker like part # 9506P in line with, at least 6" from the positive terminal on your battery, it as you can see from the attached photo. This will work in place of a fuse. Instead of the fuse breaking this simply disconnects and then reconnects the circuit once it is safe again.

The Red wire that connects to your stop light switch will be taking about 12V of power. If you use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 you can find the COLD side of the stop light switch.
