When you tow different trailers, swapping plugs can get old fast. This connector gives you both a 7-blade and a 4-flat socket in one housing, so you’re ready for just about any trailer hookup. It covers running lights, brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights, and 12-volt power all from one clean mount.
The included harness is set up for everything—lighting, trailer brakes, and charging. Each wire is clearly marked and sized for the job: Red for left turn and stop (14-gauge), White for ground (10-gauge), Blue for electric brakes (12-gauge), Green for right turn and stop (14-gauge), Black for battery power (12-gauge), Brown for running lamps (14-gauge), and Yellow for backup lamps (14-gauge). That makes wiring straightforward and keeps the circuits dependable under load.
The socket mounts neatly to the included metal bracket for a solid, factory-style look. Since it’s a hard-wire design, you can install it anywhere the wiring is accessible. It’s a practical setup when adding towing capability or replacing a damaged connector.
This setup matches what many manufacturers use on new trucks, so it connects securely and holds up to regular use. The spring-loaded covers keep dirt and moisture out, and the combined 7-way and 4-way design makes it easy to switch between trailers without adapters.

This product includes a 7-pole and 4-pole trailer connector socket with a mounting bracket and wiring. When wiring, always connect by circuit function rather than wire color, as color codes may vary by vehicle manufacturer. Use a circuit tester to confirm wire functions before splicing. The white wire with ring terminal is the ground and must be attached securely to clean, bare metal on the vehicle frame.

Good product instructions easy to follow, the final product looks great.
Fit like a glove where the plug was in the bumper. Easy to convert the four pin flat to the 7 pin using etrailer parts and instructions.
As shown and looks like factory and comes with pigtail wiring connection.
Bracket is most likely 14 gauge (measured it) and should be easy to weld. Connector appears to be of reasonable quality, but time will tell if it holds up or not. No matter, welding the bracket to my rollpan will be the difficult part, not replacing the connector housing, should it fail. Hard to rate something I haven't used, so first impressions, I guess it's a five star.
The trailer connector worked great. All I had to do was pop the cover off the bumper and the plug was ready to connect to the new connector. I didn’t even have to wire anything.
eTrailer is the only website I found that had the whole kit that I needed.
I’m glad I chose this over a single plug! No matter what you have on the hitch, you’ll have the plug for it. The pigtail is plenty long enough and the bracket makes for a simple installation. Get some shrink tube or shrink wrap butt connectors as the ones included aren’t going to keep weather out for long.
Only gripe, the plug wiring on the back is at a 45° and the plug in on the front is at a 90°, so dont wire up the wires by the wiring plug but how the plug in on the front would plug in, I made the mistake, but other than that, works great, looks great, fixes botched wiring like my truck had with just twisted together and taped up wires, easy install
This is the same look as a factory install. I was greatly pleased with the overall installation. Super easy to wire up and looks great in the bumper. My truck has the clean factory look for way less than what they had quoted for an install.
Perfect connector for what I was looking for on my 2019 RAV4. I originally installed it with the L bracket, but later changed it to be flush in the bumper. Looks very clean. The prefab pigtail made install into the car very easy as well.
This is a great affordable option to replace your worn out or damaged OEM trailer recepticle. The fit is perfect. It is made by Pollak which is the same as the Ford one you replace. I damaged mine and took the pin connectors out of new housing and installed it on my F350 without splicing wires. Worked perfectly.
Perfect fit looks factory
Bought this trailer connector to use instead of the flat 4 wire connector. Wanted a nice finished look on the rear of the vehicle without any hanging wires. Mounts to the Draw Tite mounting bracket without any modification. Only minor problem I had was with the wiring. The wire colors are not the same between the 4 and 7 pole connector. A call to etrailer got the problem resolved. Great customer service!
Great product!
Fits the factory hole in the bumper perfectly.
Attaching the wires was a pain but that was due to GM saving $1 by just cutting the wire ends and not installing a plug......but they were all there so that was a plus.
If you do install this setup AND you install a hitch, leave the spare tire down while you attach the wires. There's plenty of wire with the plug but the factory wires are up kinda close to the underside of the bed so not a lotta room.
ALSO spend the extra couple dollars and get the heat shrink butt connectors, they're available here in whatever size you need.
Another thing to think about, if you plan on eventually installing bed/ cargo lights any time soon, now is the time to add that extra power wire before you crimp, shrink, and tape the hot wire......
I have a 2017 SantaFe I have 2 different trailers and need both types of plugs I am using this product along with a curt class III hitch and a curt 56332 wiring harness.
I want the finished outlet to be behind the factory cover I had to modify the Hopkins bracket by bending it in the opposite direction on a angle because the hitch is in the way .a little effort and its great

The trailer plug went bad on my 92 F150 several years ago. This plug is the same as my 10 F350. I like the combination 7 spade/4 pin. Other combos have a rubber flap to cover the 4 pin plug. I doubt I’m that disciplined and I would think that rubber cover would dry rot and break off. This plug has spring closure doors and looks great!
Pulled the dummy plug off of the bumper and the new part snappy right in, couldn’t have been any easier!
pug was easy to install. had to go online and view video to sort out wire colors as plug and truck harness different colors. as no directions with new harness on how to install are included. my vehicle did not have backup lites or electric brakes so did not need to use all 7 wires. overall it was pretty easy t install new harness and did work correctly 1st time.
This is a fantastic quality part and an excellent alternative to Ford's OE connector (the difference being this one is far less expensive and does not have the Ford emblem. I used the connector to replace the 7-Pin/4-Pin combination plug on my 2002 Ford Super Duty after swapping the bed/bumper/tailgate from a 2012 Super Duty. It is a vastly superior connector in that the 4-Pin is integrally wired with the 7-Pin as opposed to having the 4-Pin spliced into the harness. I would definitely recommend this part for any towing rig. I eve put one on my father's 1995 Dodge Ram 2500. Don't hesitate to order this one!
Easy installation! Kit only supplied 6 connectors when there were 7 wires ...... oops!

Steve, the 6 connectors are correct. The ring connector that attaches to the ground wire is the 7th connector.

I still like the wiring harness I purchased from your company last year. Thank you for asking.
Crimp connectors are very cheaply made. One did not even have the metal insert in it. Also, one connector was missing.
The service provided by George and Lacey was the best part of this transaction. Lacey helped me find the right parts and sent me a video about installation. They both worked to correct my order and customized the delivery date.
The parts were precisely what I needed to get power to the bumper for a small trailer and bike rack. A few comments: order more butt connectors as the mfr sent 6 and there were seven wires on my Colorado. When connecting the tail harness to the truck harness, be sure all the wires on each side are the same length. The yellow wire strippers take some getting used to, so practice on several wires first. I’m an ‘average’ handy person so these last two suggestions didn’t come naturally to me, but overall this was a pretty simple installation. When I tested it and all the lights worked, I was a happy camper.
Mounted perfectly to existing bracket on 2008 F150 Lariat with factory towing package, cut off connector from wiring harness and heat shrunk wires together to existing harness

Perfect!
High quality product that I custom fit on my RAV4. Connections all came with dielectric grease pre applied and nice rubber seals to keep moister and dirt out which was nice to see. Would have given 5 stars but the wire coloring for RV standard was slightly off as the green and brown wire were swapped but didn’t effect function, just make sure to pay attention when wiring so you don’t connect them incorrectly.
Quick and easy to install, my truck looks like it came from the factory with the trailer socket. The 4 pole connector is a good tight fit, higher quality than I've had on previous pickups.
