Question:

We have just purchased a 2018 Lance 1475 travel trailer. What bike rack do you recommend for this trailer. There is now a cover over the tanks. We have 2 bikes with fenders. Our vehicle is a 2016 Honda Pilot which we are leasing. Thanks, Sandra

The first thing you need is a hitch and the Curt # 13703 is an adjustable width hitch that is going to work with your 2018 Lance travel trailer so long as it has a box frame, C-channel frame, or I-beam frame that is between 22" and 72".

As for the bike rack you need one that is rated for use behind a trailer and is going to work with bikes that have fenders and I recommend looking at the Swagman Dispatch # S44FR. This rack secures your bikes by the top tubes via ratcheting hooks and secures the wheels with ratcheting straps so it will work with your bikes that have fenders. The Dispatch has a 45 lbs per bike weight capacity and works with bikes that have a wheelbase up to 52" and a maximum tire width of 3".

Please keep in mind this hitch is going to require the use of stabilizing straps # 18050 with all non-trailer accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers in order to maintain the warranty.
