Options to Carry 4 Bikes With 2021 Lance 2185 Travel Trailer

Hi, We have a 2021 Lance 2185. Were looking for the best way to put 4 bikes 2 adult, 2 kids on it. It has a 1.25 hitch receiver on the back. We would not want to put more than 2 bikes on that hitch. We would also consider a rack on the front of the travel trailer as well tongue rack? . There is also the possibility of putting two bikes on a roof rack on our tow vehicle but I wanted to see what the options were for putting bikes/racks on the travel trailer. Thanks!

Ok, we have some options for you, and I should note that bike racks do need to be approved by their manufacturer for the use on the back of travel trailers like your 2021 Lance 2185. There aren't any travel trailer approved racks for a 1-1/4 inch hitch, but from what I could see it does look like this trailer has a bumper. So what you can do to add bikes in the rear of the trailer, so long as the bumper is 4 to 4-1/2 inches tall, is add a Swagman rack:

- Swagman Traveler XC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches or RV Bumpers # S64663

Then, since you mentioned a rack for the tongue, you could do that as well with a rack that installs over your trailer's A-frame jack; it would require either 22-1/2 inches of clearance:

- Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers # LC429756
