Question:
Bracket for OEM 7way plug for 2007 GMC 2500 HD Sierra Classic with 6.5 bed. Thinking of changing the hitch from the OEM, but dont see any good ways of including the OEM 7 way plug. Was going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2 Item # C15302 and was recommended Mounting Bracket for 7-Way Item # 18138, but because this hitch is mounted fairly flush to the bumper there is no room for the wiring harness to get into a good position. Can you recommend a solution that will function like the OEM hitch in an integrated fashion? Looking forward to your response.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2" # C15302 will give you a few options for mounting your 7-way wiring. One option is the Mounting Bracket for 7-Way # 18138 along with the no drill bracket # C57202. This bracket is 6-1/2 inches long so it will give you about 4-1/2 inches from the front of the crossbar on your trailer hitch receiver.
Another option is to use the Curt Easy Mount Bracket for 4- or 5-Way Flat and 6- or 7-Way Trailer Connectors - 2" Hitch # C58000. This bracket simply mounts around the trailer hitch receiver collar to keep the wiring easily accessible near the hitch.
