Question:
Hello, I am considering buying the AM20436 Dexstar Mini Mod trailer wheel and thought I should probably buy valve stems while Im at it. I intend to put a load range D tire on it - max PSI 65. Should I look for a valve stem rated higher just to be safe or will a 65 psi valve be okay? Thank you,

Expert Reply:
When installing a load range D tire with a 65-psi rating, like part # TTWTRTM2257515D, on the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel # AM20436, it would be better to use a valve stem that is rated for over 65 psi. Although you need to keep the tire pressure at the recommended psi, this will give you some peace of mind and allow for any instances if you accidentally over inflate them.
The next step up from the Americana Rubber, Snap-In Valve Stem # AM20903 rated for up to 65 psi is the Americana High Pressure Rubber Snap-In Valve Stem # AM20904 rated for up to 80 psi.
