The eight triangle-shaped spokes give it that timeless trailer wheel look—simple, functional, and clean. The silver powder coat finish adds just enough shine to make the whole setup look refreshed and well cared for.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 15 inch by 6 inch Silver Eight Spoke Steel Trailer Wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this is a sturdy steel construction. You can see it has an eight spoke design, has the eight triangular holes that go all the way around the wheel. It offers excellent corrosion-resistance, uses a silver powder coat finish over an eco-primer, and this is a high quality wheel. It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications.
Now, if you notice, it does not come with a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll match this pilot hole diameter. That's where the center cap will go through and that measures 3.19 inches. This part is made in the USA.
A few dimensions, again, we're gonna measure the diameter of the wheel. That's always measured inside to inside. So if we take our tape measure, and if we go all the way across there, you can see is your 15 inch diameter. The width, same way, it's measured inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. So there's your five inch diameter.
And the bolt pattern we mentioned is a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure that a wheel that's a, a bolt pattern on a wheel that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five, what you want to do is you just pick any one of the holes, let's say this hole, and then you're gonna measure across to either this hole or to this hole. You just pick either one. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So on this, it'll measure four and a half inches.
So it's a five lug, four and a half inch bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity in this wheel is 2,200 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Dexstar 15 inch by 5 inch Silver Eight Spoke Steel Trailer Wheel with a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.

I have purchased other products in the past from etrailer.com and all have been quality products. The paint on the original wheels on our trailer started peeling after about two years. I started researching new wheels as I prefer to properly keep up mechanically & cosmetically any vehicle I have ever purchased. An example of that is I still have a 1970 Chevy C-10 I purchased new in November of 1969 and it is still in pristine condition. Wheels are still looking super great!

Wheel was exactly as I expected.Replaced due to a having a bent.one on the trailer I had just purchased second hand... putting new tires on it revealed the issue... also balanced out perfectly without weights using the red dot on the new tires so rim was made exactly as it should've been... would buy again
