If you’re around water or humidity, rust is the enemy. This 15" x 6" steel wheel uses a galvanized finish that shields the metal from corrosion, keeping it sound and solid even after years of exposure. The sturdy steel build and 8-spoke pattern add strength and stability, while the finish gives it a clean, no-nonsense look that lasts.
When you’re carrying heavy gear or equipment, capacity matters. This wheel handles up to 2,150 lbs and meets DOT standards for safety and reliability. Whether you’re pulling long miles or making short runs, the 0 offset keeps the load centered on the hub for balanced weight distribution and predictable tracking.
This wheel uses a widely compatible 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern with a 3.19" pilot diameter and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts. That combination gives solid fitment across a range of setups that use this standard spacing. Its precise machining makes mounting straightforward and secure.
Every part of this wheel is made to perform safely at highway speeds and under typical hauling conditions. Meeting Department of Transportation specs ensures consistent strength and durability mile after mile. It’s a solid upgrade when you want reliability backed by proven specs rather than guesswork.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Americana 15 inch by six inch galvanized eight spoke steel trailer wheel, with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this is a sturdy steel construction. This one is the eight spoke design with the galvanized finish and the galvanized finish will provide superior protection from rust and corrosion. It's mainly used in marine applications, like on a boat trailer.
This is a nice high quality wheel. Does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. A few specs on this. We're going to measure the diameter and the width. And the diameter, when you measure diameter, it's always going to be measured inside the inside.
So if we take our tape measure. If we go inside, inside, all the way across, you're looking at 15 inch diameter. The width on the wheel, is inside to inside also. So there's your six inch wide. And the bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure that on a wheel, that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five.
What you want to do is pick any hole, let's say this one, and then you're going to measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure it, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to. So on this wheel, it'll measure four and a half inches. So it's a five lug four and a half inch bolt pattern. This wheel does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20 and the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, that is 3.19 inches. Now this wheel does not come with a center cap.
If you do want to purchase the center cap, we do sell those separately. You just want to make sure that the center cap diameter will also be the same as the pilot hole, so 3.19 inches. And the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,150 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Americana 15 inch by six inch galvanized eight spoke steel trailer wheel, with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.

I purchased four of these wheels to replace my camper wheels after a double blowout. For a galvanized coating they don't look bad at all, and were the cheapest by far I could find. Tires mounted and balanced easy. I'm hoping to get a very long time out of these, and I'll definitely be coming to etrailer again if I need anything else.
Rough finish, but workable for my appli cation
I got exactly what I ordered and it worked. I ordered a bigger tire and rims so I could clear backing into my drive way and it did work. How ever I have never had rims with galvanized finish. I ordered them and thats what I received. I think next spring Ill be buying some chrome ones from you? No sende putting them on during winter . Yes the shipping and the order was just as always, Great and fast . thanks
I ordered 4 new rims for my boat trailer. My previous painted rims were rusted enough that I was not confident that I would not have rim leaks (been there). The rims were just as promised. They came well protected in nice boxes. I had the tire installed and balanced. I noticed that they had to use quite a few weights (3 large on one side, 2 medium on other side) to get them balanced. I took one wheel to another shop just to check and yes the proper balancing required all that weight. I believe that the galvanizing material must flow to one side and be a little thicker there. No problem. Just think if I did not balance them how out-of-round they would have run. I have ordered quite a few things from etrailer and have not been disappointed in the products and the service.
Overall, I found the quality of these wheels to be above average with a very surprisingly good finish. I've seen wheels of this type (galvanized finish) that appeared very rough and dull, which of course doesn't necessarily affect its performance, just its aesthetic quality. But these were bright, fairly smooth and actually quite attractive as well as appearing to be very well constructed.
Now for a negative note: of the 4 that I purchased, I was told by the folks at the garage that they noticed one of the wheels seemed to be a bit 'warped' and wobbled a bit while they were balancing the tires. They offered to show me and I confirmed that indeed one of the wheels had about an eighth inch of side to side wobble that could eventually cause adverse tire wear.
Received the galvanized wheels, and the surface was rough most likely due to the galvanizing process. I was ok with that, but when my new tires were mounted, they could not be balanced due to out-of-round wheels (bad wobble on all 4) I returned them for full credit and ordered non-galvanized. The replacements balanced out perfectly. Faulty product cost me some time, but etrailer was great to work with.
so much better than the white wheels that came with the trailer . After five years needed to replace the tires ,and wanted to have rust free wheels on my new one's. pretty much carefree after one year another great product from etrailer . Thanks
Great wheel for New England where they use salt on the roads
I have switched to using galvanized wheels on my utility trailers. I find that after years of service, the galvanized rims stay rust free. Mount your tires and you're good to go, no worries!
Great price, excellent product. A year after purchase, the wheels looks brand new. One minor concern: there was a small blob of galvanized metal right on the bead that I knew would cause a slow, so ground that off flush. Other than that extremely pleased with etrailer’s price, service and products. These galvanized rims are great. Highly recommend.
good quality rims. Fair price and fast shipping. I buy all my trailer tires/wheels from etrailer.
Exactly what was needed and arrived quickly. Great customer service.
Really nice wheels Thanks and quick shi pping
Exactly what i needed
These are excellent quality wheels. The galvanized finish is perfect. Shipping was quick and the wheels arrived in great packaging. Would highly recommend these wheels and this business.
Brite galvanized wheels they look like they will hold up and not rust.
Rims look very nice in trailer, even after a year. They are holding up great and I am a very happy customer.
Nice finish, perfect fit, fast shipping!
Installer pointed out a weld they felt was subpar on one of the 6, but it looked okay to me (I'm not a professional).
I ordered three galvanized wheels for my boat trailer and couldn’t be happier. The guys at etrailer kept me informed every step of the way as to a shipping delay, when the wheels shipped and offered advice along the way to assure I ordered the right product. I haven’t had customer service like this in years and years. I am about to place another order.
Thanks again William S, Cody, and George. Y'all are the best.
good quality wheels, although not being used as intended for a boat trailer, the galvanize coating will be a better corrosion protection than the paint at a reasonable cost.
Only annoyance was the adhesive part identification label that was applied to each wheel across the bead sealing surface that I had to use a heat gun to get to release cleanly.
Product is as advertised and shipped on time. Required minor sanding inside the rim to remove a couple burs to insure proper tire to rim seal. So far so good - check back after 10,000miles and we'll see.
Great wheel came with valve stem.
If I could put negative stars I would go negative 100+
I'll explain bought these rims because I pull trailer in winter and wagon wheels don't last figured galvanized would after installing towed 12 miles came home retorqued as recommended pulled 150 miles retorqued again (with impact) pulled about 200 miles and tire flew off in 4 lane rush hour traffic, found all lug nuts loose on remaining tires it broke off all 5 studs bent fender ground u bolts on axle almost off trying to get to side of road, couldn't find the tire it went into traffic how everybody missed it who knows while I was dealing with tow truck someone must have stopped and took it.$300 tow bill later put a couple of studs in so I could put spare on and get into shop the pictures are the damage the lug nuts didn't seem to fit in hole right two off the tires weren't loose by feel wiggling the tire while jacked up but the nuts were working regardless, looking at back of rim the holes are offset and don't sit flush on hub if you look at the one pic you can see my spare sits flush as did the other rims I replaced with these pos's. Basically the rim is relying in the bolt hole and surrounding steel to support the weight of trailer never going to happen maybe if your trailer is empty, bolted on there is a 1/8th inch space between the hub and lug nut JUNK DO NOT BUY I will have a grand into fixing what these rims did. as a note I have pulled trailer's for 40+ years I own 6 other trailers of various styles have never had a tire come loose much less 4 of them. I have bought other items with no problems

I reached out to the manufacturer in regard to the performance of the rims. I found that you would want to use a torque wrench versus an impact wrench, preferably one that clicks, otherwise the possibility of over-torque on the lugs is very real, as in this situation. If an impact wrench is the only option, it should be set to the lowest setting and used with extreme caution.
1 of the rims has a dent on the bead area and I am going to take it to shop to see if the tires will bead onto the rim ok

Great galvanized rims! They still look brand new, no worries about rust or corrosion, work well, and hold air. Definitely recommend.
