This Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel is made to handle serious weight with confidence. The 15" x 5" rim is rated for 2,200 lbs and meets DOT specifications, so it’s ready for demanding hauling. Getting the right fit is simple. This wheel uses the common 5 on 4-1/2” bolt pattern, a 3.19” pilot diameter, and zero offset so the mounting surface sits dead center. That means straightforward installation and even load distribution across your hub—no guesswork or surprises when you bolt it up.
Road grime and moisture won’t eat this wheel alive. It’s finished with an e-coat primer topped by a silver powder coat that seals out rust and corrosion. The result is a clean, durable surface that holds up in wet or humid conditions while keeping its sharp look season after season.
This 15" x 5" wheel pairs easily with popular trailer tire sizes like ST205/75-15 or ST225/75-15, letting you match the tire capacity to your load without changing your wheel setup. The standard 1/2"-20 wheel bolts make it easy to swap on new tires when the time comes without special hardware or adapters.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at the Dexstar 15 inch by five inch silver modular steel trailer wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. It is a modular design, and when we say modular design, that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. This will give you excellent corrosion resistance because they use a two step finishing process, which first includes an E-Coat primer on the wheel, and then they put a silver powder coat finish over it. It is a high quality wheel.
Does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. Now if you notice the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately. You just wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as your pilot hole right here. The diameter on the pilot is 3.19 inches.
This part is made in the USA. A few measurements on this wheel I'm gonna give you. So we're gonna measure the diameter and the width on the wheel. And when you measure the diameter, you always wanna measure inside the inside because what you're measuring is where the tire beads will seat. When a tire's installed on this, the beads will seat right here.
So basically you're measuring bead seat to bead seat inside the inside. So if we get our tape measure, and you can see if we go inside the inside, it is your 15 inch diameter. The width is gonna be the same way. It's bead seat to bead seat. So inside the inside, it's gonna be right at five inches wide.
Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five, what you have to do is pick any hole, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes right across from it. But the trick is you measure from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. On this, it'll measure four and a half inches. So that means it's a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,200 pounds. But that should do it for a review on this Dexstar 15 inch by five inch silver modular steel trailer wheel with a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.
