Question:
I have a Lippert auto two-step...Coach Step is the model...on my 2010 Forest River 24foot Solera, Class C motor home. I want to go to a manual step unit. Would you tell me which manual step model that I should purchase so that I dont have a lot of difficulty with installation and whether it should be a two or three step model. Thanks very much.

The steps you need are going to depend on some measurements you'll need to take; as for the installation, each of these can be either bolted on or you can have a professional weld them on. The right step for you is going to depend on the amount of length you have from your doorway to the ground, as well as your current mounting base dimensions, which need to match up in order to get a secure fit.
The Lippert Manual Pull-Out 2 step # LC432682 has mounting base dimensions of 25-1/4" wide x 8-3/4" deep and a 7" drop/rise.
For a 3-step manual pull out, the Lippert options are all fairly similar, there are only slight differences in the dimensions. The Lippert Manual Pull-Out # LC432687 has a 7" drop/rise and 25-1/2" wide x 8-1/4" deep (1st step), 24-1/4" wide x 8-1/4" deep (2nd and 3rd step) with mounting base dimensions of 27-1/2" wide x 9" deep and bolt hole centers that are 26-1/4" wide x 7" deep.
The same Lippert manual 3-step pull out, but with a 9" drop/rise, 2nd and 3rd steps that are 1/16" deeper, mounting base dimensions that are 1/2" deeper and bolt hole centers 1/8" wider is # LC432690. Finally, there is the Alumi-Tread Manual Pull-Out # LC432696, which is 8-1/2" deep, steps that are 24" wide, mounting base dimensions of 27-3/4" wide x 9-1/2" deep and bolt hole centers that are 26-3/8" wide x 7" deep.
This is a lot of information to take in, but the drop/rise will tell you how big the step is you're going to need to take, and as I mentioned before, the dimensions are going to matter in order for you to get the right fit.
