Replacement Pull Out Manual Steps for a 2015 Airstream International w/ 381863-01 Steps

Updated 08/31/2026 | Published 08/24/2026

Question:

I have a 2015 Airstream International 30ft. My factory steel steps need to be replaced. The Airstream part number 381863-01 Double Steel Step has been discontinued. There is a Lippert sticker on the set we have now. Do you have a bolt up direct replacement please?

We sure do John and thanks for all the information! The Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step item # LC432682 is the correct replacement for your discontinued Airstream 381863-01 double steel steps.

The Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step item # LC432682 measures 25-1/2" wide x 9-3/4" tall x 12" deep overall and has 24-1/4" wide x 8-1/4" deep steps. It's designed to attach to Lippert Outriggers for Manual RV Steps item # LC301704. So long as you have these brackets it will be a bolt on direct replacement.

We actually had someone use the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step item # LC432682 on a 2015 Flying Cloud. I attached the picture they sent in below along with a couple of diagrams.

What kind of campsites do you typically set up on with your Airstream International? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

Watching the video on the outriggers it mentions. Lippert aluminum tread lite step. I would prefer Aluminum to steel do you have a 2 step of those that will fit?

@JohnS A 2-step version of the Lippert Alumi-Tread Manual Pull-Out Step item # LC432696 does not exist. They start at 3-steps and go up. The Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step item # LC432682 is the best replacement option I have.

The pullout steps are great. I replaced the newer style that fold up into the door…really didn’t like them. The pullout steps were easy to install, I didn’t need the outriggers and simply shimmed the sides with some iron I bought at Home Depot and bolted the pullout steps to the frame, worked great.
