Review of Lippert Components RV Stairs and Steps LC432687

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Triple Step for RVs. This manually operated RV step makes it easy to get into and out of your motor home. Simply pull out the steps for use and then position them back in place for travel. Really nice design. Each step surface is going to feature two strips of non-skid tread tape that's going to provide sure footing so you won't slip as you get into and out of your RV and a nice rounded edge at the front of each step really helps do a great job at eliminating sharp corners. I also want to mention that each step is going to have two channels on it. These channels do a great job at trapping dirt and moisture, keeping your feet elevated and then there's drain holes at the end of each of those channels for all of that stuff to escape. When you're ready to move it into a stowed position, this step flips up on top.

Nice, large grab handle makes that very easy to operate. The other grab handle underneath, as you lift the unit rotates back into the stowed position. When you're ready to use it, grab this handle, pull it out and do the same thing. That's all there is to it. Nice, easy operation.

Those handles do a great job at keeping your hands clear of any moving parts. The unit's made from a sturdy steel construction that gives it a very strong and durable design. It's going to feature a really nice black powder-coated finish to protect it from rust and corrosion. It's an easy bolt on or weld on installation. This is going to mount to your RV frame in the same manner as your original steps. For a bolt on application, you will need to use two Carriage bolts and lock nuts on each side of the unit to attach the mounting bracket to your RV's frame.

Mounting hardware is not included. You'll also notice that on the side plates it has multiple holes, so that way if you need to use outriggers for your installation, you can do so. Those are sold separately and available here at if you're in need. When it comes to the dimensions of the steps, the bottom two steps are going to give us a width measurement of right around 24 and 1/4 inches. That's not measuring the brackets on the sides, so that's just the step surface. The top step, that's going to give us a width measurement of closer to 25 and 1/2 inches, side to side not including the side mounts.

When it comes to the depth of each step, those are all going to be the same at about 8 and 1/4 of an inch deep, that's front to back. The mounting base, if we take a measurement from edge to edge going this direction, that's going to give us a measurement of about 27 and 1/2 inches wide. If we look at the side plate here of the nine base, you can see that it's a multiple angle design. At the widest point we're looking at 12 inches. Here at this point we're looking at about 8 and 3/4 and on this back piece looking at about 8 inches. When it comes to the height of the side plate, that's going to measure about 14 and 1/8 to 14 and 1/4 inches tall. The bolt holes on the unit, going this direction first, these are going to be separated on center by around 7 inches and then side to side they're going to be separated on center by 26 and 1/4 inches. When it comes to the drop and rise of each step, so from the top of this one to the top of the other one, we're looking at about 7 inches. Same thing for these two. Then from the top of the mounting area to the top of this step, that's going to give us a measurement of about 4 inches. That's going to do it for today's look at the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Triple Step for RVs.
