Modern Tire Size Replacement for 6.9 - 9 Size

I have a 2000 GVWR trailer that currently has 6.9 - 9 tires that need to be replaced. While replacement tires are readily available the rims or wheels are not. I would like to replace them with a more standard or poular size wheel but still retain the overall diameter of the tire which currently is 22. Since I will be replacing the tires I was interested in knowing what the advantages if any would be if I switched from a bias ply tire to a radial. Any information would be most appreciated. The closest standard trailer tire size to 22 inches overall is the 5.30-12 which has an overall diameter of 21.9 inches.
This tire size there are only bias ply tires available like the part # AM30780 for if you have a 4 on 4 inch bolt patter or the # AM30859 if you have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch hitch.
A radial tire flexes more than a bias tire, giving it better ground contact, traction, stability, and tread wear.
A radial tire will normally run cooler than a bias ply tire, especially when the tire is under a load. A tire that runs cooler will last longer.
