If you’re comparing models, the AM20785 shares specs with the AM20789 but skips the red and blue pinstripe for a solid white face. It also separates from the AM20793 by offering a higher capacity—3,960 lbs instead of 3,530 lbs—thanks to its 0 offset design. You get the same dependable build in the look that fits your setup best.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 16-inch by 6-inch white modular heavy-duty steel trailer wheel with the eight on 6-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. We mentioned it's the modular design. Modular design is the one that has the round holes all the way around it. And we mentioned this wheel is a heavy-duty wheel and the reason that is is 'cause it has a higher load capacity of 4,400 pounds.
It does offer excellent corrosion resistance 'cause they use a two-step finishing process, which will first include an E-coat primer and then a white powder coat finish. It is a high-quality wheel. It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. Now if you notice, it does not include a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on a website.
You just wanna make sure to get one that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole. 'Cause when you put your center cap on, it will go through this hole. The diameter on this hole is 4.9-inches. This wheel is made by Dexstar, which means it is made in the USA. A few dimensions I wanna measure for you is gonna be the diameter and the width of the wheel.
Now, on the diameter, when you measure it, you're gonna always measure inside to inside. The reason you're doing that is 'cause the size is related to the tire that goes on here and the tire beads will go right here when they seat. So what you're measuring is bead seat to bead seat. So again, if we take a tape measure and if we go inside to inside, you can see there's your 16-inch diameter measurement and the width, same way, bead seat to bead seat. So inside to inside, and there's your 6-inch wide.
Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is an eight on 6-1/2-inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this, it's an even number of lugs. It's actually pretty easy because the lug holes, if you notice, are right directly across from each other. So all you have to do is pick any hole. Let's say this one, measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this, it'll measure 6-1/2-inches. So it's an eight on 6-1/2-inch both pattern. This will use a wheel lug size of either 1/2-inch by 20 or 9/16 by 18. And as we mentioned, it's a heavy-duty wheel. So it has a weight capacity of 4,400 pounds. But that should do it for a look at the Dexstar 16-inch by 6-inch white modular heavy-duty steel trailer wheel with the eight on 6-1/2-inch bolt pattern.

Quick service
The product appears to be as advertised and delivery was quick. Unfortunately, the two wheels were packaged together in the same box which obviously wasn't going to ship very well due to the weight. The wheels arrived falling out of the box and were chipped up from either falling out of the box or scraping the ground in transit. I'm disappointed in the packaging and can't in good faith blame FEDEX.

Wheels are very durable and I have had no problems with them on my tandem axle gooseneck trailer. They are recommended. I would also like to add that the seller was very apologetic and offered to replace the chipped wheels. While I did not return them for a replacement, this is the kind of service that you’d like to get.

Took about a week to arrive not bad due to the Christmas - New Year season. Shipping boxes were damaged -- wheels had paint chipped on bead surface. wheels appear to be in good condition. I am satisfied with the product just need to install tires on the wheels.
I received my (4) 16" trailer wheels but they were banged up quite a bit. Jesse contacted me after seeing my average review of the purchase. He offered to replace the scratched up wheels and make it right. The offer alone was more important to me than actually replacing the wheels. Etrailer provides outstanding customer service and is proactive in helping their customers. While I chose to not exchange the wheels, I'm happy with my purchase knowing that the customer service is awesome. The wheels are heavy duty and appear to be well made. I replaced the wheels on my trailer because I couldn't determine what capacity they were. I'm now confident that I have the correct capacity wheels and shouldn't have any roadside emergency with a heavy load.
Thank you for getting this out to us in such a timely manner. This rim was needed to replace a wheel that was stolen off one of our Brooks Bros utility trailers which we use for transporting equipment. While we keep extra tires in stock, we didn’t have an extra rim. We are located in the remote part of the desert so finding suppliers can be a challenge. The trailer was useless with a missing wheel so we really appreciate you getting it to us so quickly. I will certainly remember you when we need something for our other trailers.
