Can I just replace the trunions and spring bars to upgrade from a 600 lb. tongue weight to 800 or 1000 lb? From what I can see, the other parts are the same. Thank you for your resourceful website.

Absolutely, the Fastway e2 weight distribution systems are designed so that the spring bars can be replaced or upgraded to a higher weight capacity without additional modifications. For the 800 lbs. spring bars you will want the Replacement Trunnion Spring Bars for Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Systems part # FA92-01-0899 and part # FA92-01-1099 for the 1,000 lb. spring bars.
Once the new spring bars have been install, I recommend lubricating the system with our Equal-i-zer High-Performance Lubricant part # EQ91-00-4250 for maximum performance. The lubricant will need to be applied to the hitch ball, weight-distribution head, and spring bar socket.
