I have ordered, received and returned parts #05704 and #05820 and neither of the u-bolts accommodate my Thule Mountaineer cargo box. We just measured and the holes in the box are 3 15/16inch center to center. Is #04997 going to work?? Thank you

I called my representative for Thule and they informed me that there are 3 different models of the Thule Mountaineer Cargo Carrier and you will need the Replacement Mounting Hardware for SportRack and Thule Cargo Boxes part # TH05603 for a U-bolt with 4 inch on center width.
According to our record, the Replacement QM3 part # TH04997 will not fit this carrier with a bolt spacing of 3-15/16".
