Question:
A friend gifted us his old Thule Mountaineer 669 ES roof cargo box. Ordered new mounting hardware set from you guys but the box doesn’t have a lock. Do you sell the housing, lock and key that will fit the mountaineer? If not, are there other alternatives to lock the box?

Expert Reply:
Is the actual lock housing missing or just the lock core that fits in it? Because if it is the housing then that part is not available as a replacement part. But if it is just the lock core then you can get # TH450200 which comes with 2 lock cores, 2 keys, and the universal change key to install the lock core.
If you are missing the lock housing then what you could do is drill a hole through upper and lower halves of the box near where the regular lock would be and use a padlock such as # ML312D to keep the box secure.
