Question:
I have a 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD, on top we have a Sears X-Cargo Sport 20 roof mount cargo box. When I last removed it I accidentally misplaced 3/4 backing plates. I have the rest of the mounting hardware. But I want to confirm - 1. Would this backing plate fit as a replacement? 2. Is the pricing shown on this product for only 1 backing plate? I see theres an entire replacement kit avaialble for $80 with all parts, meanwhile buying these individually would already be at $60 for 3. Thanks!

Hello Kassi,
Thank you for the pictures, they are always so helpful! I am sure the the misplaced plates will magically appear as soon as you order new ones, that is usually how it works in my house anyway.
Yes, the Replacement Plate Box Support for Adventurer Cargo Box # TH10378 is the correct support plate for your Sears X-Cargo Sport.
You are also correct about the full kit. The Replacement Hardware Kit for Searsbox Cargo Box # TH05603 would only be a few more dollars than ordering 3 support plates. Personally, I would get the full kit, never know when you can use the extra spare parts.
What do you mainly use the cargo box for?

Hey Kassi, Did you decide to go with the full hardware kit for your cargo box, or did you just replace the backing plates? I'd love to know what you chose, as it could help others make a decision in a similar situation.
