Comparison of Husky A-Frame Trailer Jacks to etrailer.com Trailer Jack to Replace an Atwood

I need to replace my existing Atwood 3k electric jack. I was going to replace it with another Atwood or Husky then I came across the Etrailer electric jack. How does it compare to the other two? I dont see replacement parts for it like I do the Atwood.

The etrailer.com Electric Jack # EJ-3520-WBX has a 1-year warranty on its parts. Replacement parts are sometimes available however not always as common.

Atwood has been purchased by Lippert so parts for their jacks are becoming more and more difficult to find. However, sometimes the parts are available from Lippert you just need to find what works with the Atwood model.

The Husky Brute HT87247 has been discontinued, however I think the best of them all is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR jack with 4500 pounds capacity and stops to prevent damage from over extension or retraction.

In short, the etrailer.com jack will get the job of raising and lowering your trailer done. The Stromberg will do the same with some additional features.

Did you possible over extend the jack? If you let the jack over extend you will destroy the threads of the screw of the and nut which will prevent the jack from being able to go up or down.

Sounds like something loosened itself up after the first trip. I recommend lifting the cover and retightening the bolts on the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack item #JET-5000. You'll want to check the mounting bolts too.
