All-around the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-5000NG is nicer than the # JET-5000. The bearings in the part # JET-5000NG allow it to raise and lower much smoother and quicker, the size of the head is a bit smaller and the lighting is nicer too. For how similar the price is between the two the # JET-5000NG really is the winner.
