Recommended 4-Way Trailer Wiring for a 2008 Lexus RX350 With Towing Prep Package

Question:
My 2008 Lexus RX 350 has a Towing Prep Package - as such, what do I need to buy with my hitch for the electrical connection flat pin connector on my trailer?

We do offer a fit for the 2008 Lexus RX350, but there is no wiring available that is specifically made for models with a Towing Prep Package. The Tow Ready custom wiring harness, part # 118478, plugs in right behind the vehicle tail lights, and features a power wire that must be run to the positive terminal on the vehicle battery with the included fuse and fuse holder in line.
If you are looking for wiring to hook up to a specialized connector that Lexus may have installed with the prep package, you would need to contact your vehicle dealer for this application. In my research, I only found one passing mention of trailer wiring being included in the Lexus towing package, but all other sources confirmed that the only differences are a heavy duty transmission fluid cooler, radiator cooler, and alternator that allow the vehicle to tow more weight than the base model. More than likely, specialized wiring is not included in your towing package, but I would recommend checking with Lexus to confirm this, as I did find the one source with conflicting information.
