  • Which Hitch for the 2009 Lexus RX350 Sticks out the Least
It looks like the Curt trailer hitch # 13530 extends the least past the rear bumper. If you check out the picture I attached you will see that it sticks out the least. You will still be able to access the spare tire on your 2009 Lexus RX 350 after installing Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13530. If you refer to the linked photo you can see the hitch and tire positions after installation. The spare can be removed for a tire change by simply letting the forward edge drop first and then maneuvering the tire past the exhaust and the hitch cross tube.

  • Least Expensive Trailer Hitch, Wiring Harness, and Brake Controller for 2009 Lexus RX 350
I will give you a list of all the most budget-friendly parts for a complete towing set up for your 2009 Lexus RX 350. It sounds like you have a trailer with electric brakes, so you will need a hitch, 7-way, 4-way (which is needed because it plugs into the 7-way), ball mount, 2" hitch ball and brake controller. So here is the list of the most economical parts for you: - Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13530 - Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55563 -...

  • Recommended Hitch and 7-Way Connector for a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
Hey Kerry. The Curt Hitch item # 13530 fits both the hybrid and non-hybrid models of the 2006 Toyota Highlander. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver, that is custom fit, and comes with all hardware necessary for installation. To add a 7-way connector to your Highlander you'll first need to add a 4-way connector, unless you already have one. There's no way to just add a 7-way connector. There's also no custom fit harnesses unless you have the factory tow package. Here are the...

  • Curt Trailer Hitch Touching Spare Tire on 2008 Lexus RX 350
Thank you for the photo; unfortunately there really is no "fix" for the Curt Trailer Hitch # 13530 touching the spare tire on your 2008 Lexus RX 350. While I can understand wanting to lower the spare a bit during the install, that can cause an issue like what you are experiencing. The spare tire is going to be directly above this hitch cross tube and so long as both the hitch and spare are properly secured and the hitch was torqued to the specs in the directions it is perfectly secure and...

On the 2005 Toyota Highlander, the available hitches all clear the bumper and stick out past it about 4 inches, The Draw-Tite (75153) and Curt Hitch (13530) in this case are actually very similar, so it will look the same. Both hitches have the same basic specifications. They are all Class III hitches with 2 inch receiver openings. The Curt # 13530 is rated for weight distribution, with a 4000 lb GTW and a 400 lb TW rating, while the Draw-Tite model is not rated for weight distribution. I...

  • Will the Thule Passage 3 Bike Rack # TH911XT Fit a 2008 Lexus RX350
As long as there is an open space at the top of that rear spoiler for the mounting strap to pass through and attach to the edge of the rear hatch, the rack is capable of being installed on the vehicle. (Rather than the straps passing up and over the spoiler). This being said, Thule states that the hatch on the RX350 is not strong enough to accommodate the weight of the carrier plus three bikes, although using the two bike model, # TH910XT is acceptable. • Hitch and Wiring Installation on 2007 Lexus RX350 With Factory Towing Prep Package
Exactly what constitutes a towing prep package can vary widely among vehicle makers and models and can depend on whether the additional equipment was factory- or dealer-installed. Sometimes a 'tow-package-equipped' vehicle may still need fuses and/or relays installed to activate the wiring. There is a good chance the wiring is in place already. You can check under your rear bumper for any signs of wiring for a trailer connector and test them using a circuit tester like # PTW2993, or you...

The three hitch options for your 2007 Lexus RX 350 - etrailer # e98857, Curt # 13530 and Draw-Tite # 75153 - all share identical capacities and will install in the same way. All include the mounting hardware. From these choices my preference is the etrailer model # E98857 you referenced. I like this one because it is USA-made and has a subtle matte finish powder coat rather than a high gloss finish, so it will not distract as much from the car's own appearance. Don't worry about not having the old mounting hardware for your hitch; you cannot re-use it anyway since hitch mounting hardware can be torqued to spec only one time. My technical contacts at Hidden Hitch and Draw-Tite have not heard of any issues on the 2006 Highlander related to the spare tire interfering with hitch installation. To complete your towing system, you'll also need a few other items: Trailer wiring harness, part # 118478 Ball mount/trailer ball kit, part # 989900 My research indicates that the RX330 has a maximum 3500lb towing capacity, so the trailer and its cargo aren't pushing the capacity.
