If your Silverado has a factory bumper, then yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C15323, is the hitch that you will want to install on your 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic 1500. This hitch has a max Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) of 16,000 lbs, 17,000 lbs when used with a Weight Distribution (WD) system, and a max Tongue Weight (TW) of 2,400 lbs which doesn't change when using a WD system. Please note that this hitch will not fit SS models.
If your Silverado has a deep drop bumper, then you will want to use the Class III Curt Trailer Hitch part # 13339. This hitch has a max GTW of 8,000 lbs with or without a WD system, and a max TW of 800 lbs with or without a WD system.
If your Silverado has the aftermarket Roll Pan Bumper then you will want to use the Class III Curt Trailer Hitch part # 13932 which has a mx GTW of 5,000 lbs, 8,000 lbs when using a WD system, and a TW of 500 lbs, 800 lbs when using a WD system.
I have attached some links to installation videos for some of the hitches.
