I ordered both the front and rear Curt class 3 hitches for my 2008 Gm sierra. The factory rear hitch had rusted from the inside and had split all the way across. This new hitch is a lot more heavy duty , with thicker metal and the ends are sealed to keep water out. I liked it so much , I ordered this front hitch to use our bicycle rack on front when we pull our camper . Did not know how to carry our bikes until I ran across this hitch on Trailer. I think it will solve our problem . Thanks etrailer !!! Also had best price, got free shipping, prompt service, and excellent customer service !! Will definitely order from them again !!!
This is an excellent product and bolted right on to my 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab 4X4. I will be using it as a mount for my Badlands ZXR12000 winch and remove the winch when not in use. I did watch the installation video but waited a couple weeks until I got around to installing the hitch. The one thing I messed up on was when I pulled the captured bolt through the lower crossmember. I ripped the spring wire off of it before I had fed it through the mounting hole in the tongue at the rear and I had a hell of a time trying to trick that bolt into falling down through the washers and tongue so that I could mount the nut. I ended up having to wrap the end of the spring wire around a smaller bolt very tightly to make a "helicoil-style" end like the one that came from the factory that I had ruined when I jerked the wire off. I then fed it up through the bottom and threaded it onto the end of the captured mounting bolt in the cross-member and then had a way to physically pull and guide the bolt through the washers and out of the bottom so that I could mount the retaining nut. This was my own fault for not paying close enough attention to the installation video. Now that it's finished, it looks like a factory accessory and holds my front winch perfectly.
I installed the hitch to use with my 32' camper trailer. It works great! I have to move the camper up a steep grade that has two sharp turns, making it hard to do with the traditional rear hitch due to limited space. Having this hitch on the front of the truck made it a breeze. Easy to install and well built.
Curt Front Trailer Hitch arrived quite fast.
The hitch is very sturdy and attaches to the sturdy tow hooks.
The instructional video was very helpful especially for the step where you "fish" a bolt through the front frame rail. Turned out to be simple with the included fishwire. The video was for a 2007 Silverado but it was exactly the same as for my 2010 1500 Silverado.
Best installed with a helper at one point on a lift, but I installed it by myself using a pair of wheel ramps, a creeper, and a small hydraulic jack to lift the hitch into place for fitting and installation.
Why install a front hitch? When maneuvering a trailer in tight quarters, it is hard to do it with the trailer connected to the back of the tow vehicle. You have to keep straight which way to turn the steering wheel and the trailer's turning is slow to respond so you often turn too far and have to start over. With the trailer attached to the front of the vehicle, you can push the trailer into a tight place easily since the trailer responds immediately to steering changes. And, you can easily and immediately see the changes to the trailer's path. And you can also pull the trailer out of a tight path easily.
I grew up on a farm always pulling and pushing trailers into exact spots. I quickly found how great a front end hitch is for maneuvering.
Haven’t used it yet, but have one on another vehicle and it really comes in handy. Well made.
I purchased a SnowSport 180 from Etrailer and a Curt 2" front mount insert from Etrailer. Everyone and everything concerning these events was excellent and so are the products. I COULDN'T BE MORE SATISFIED!
I bought this hitch so I can move my travel trailer better and also to use my bike rack more efficiently. I am going to have my garage install it since I do not have an impact wench to turn the bolts. So I hope this some help Phil

I use the front hitch to transport more than two bikes It is easy to install and load the bikes on.
It was not as easy yo install as the video seems to suggest. I had planned to do it myself with the truck on ramps, but had to get someone with a lift to do it. Once the plates were mounted the main part didn't line up just right and it took more pressure than I could apply while lying on my back. Other than that it is great. Very strong and just what I needed.Thanks.

Working great.
their arm what went to the frame the holes that match up I had a oblong the frame hole to make it fit but other than that it’s went together very good thank you
Excellent quality. Quick shipping.
Very pleasant experience with purchase and delivery of product
The front mount makes getting my trailer in and out of tight spots a whole lot easier than trying to back the trailer into a tight spot.
Almost easy to install, for some reason alignment was difficult with the small bolts. Still not bad. Very happy overall.
Perfect fit, great quality. Very happy with the entire process. Appreciate the support and instructions. Installed on a 2012 Silverado 1500 WT.
Excellent product. Always pleased with Curt products. Quality built with easy to install video provided by etrailer. Shout out to Alex at etrailer for getting me the exact fit for my 2007 Chevy Silverado. Good job etrailer. Received with 4 days of order placement
Beauty install. Just had to trim a 2x2inch slot in the air dam under the bumper. Didn't have to touch the facia. You can hardly see the receiver.
No drilling!!!
Ordered for mounting a winch on the front of my Silverado.
Free shipping was appreciated and quite fast. Received it in 3 business days because of my location.
Instructions were included and simple.
Product was well protected and packaged great.
Installation went as well as expected. I had slight alignment difficulty due to a deer committing suicide via my truck this past fall, but that wasn’t the products fault. Took me just over an hour total from setting up to tearing down.
Good quality bolts make for ease of mind.
Overall highly recommend. Great company. Even followed up with an email to make sure everything was good.
Will purchase from then again when needed.
This product fit my needs perfectly. I purchased this hitch to mount a bicycle rack to the front of my pickup truck as I did not want to add weight to the back of my camp trailer on the flimsy bumper that is standard, and did not want to spend a fortune on a hitch that needed drilled or welded to my camp trailer. I looked at several options, and this appeared to be the best choice. With the video instructions and an hour of time, I had this hitch installed and bicycle rack in place. This product was relatively easy to install, and will suit my needs very well. Thank you etrailer!
The hitch didn’t fit my 2009 GMC Denali. The mounting hole on the bracket in the middle of the hitch didn’t line up with the frame hole. It was off by an inch. Called service department and they said they never had this problem before. Had me call the manufacturer rep and they said the same thing. They wouldn’t accept a return. I couldn’t use it. It’s in my scrap pile.
High quality product. Good instructions and all the necessary parts. Had to buy a 21mm socket and use a racket strap to pull stabilizing bar back a little to reach hole in frame but no big deal.

After a season of plowing snow in Alaska my hitch is as good as new. It’s a lighter duty plow don’t still went through some abuse this last winter. No regrets on my purchase.
I bought the Curt front hitch for the purpose to haul my Honda Generator on the Torklift Lock and Load in front of my 2009 Chevy Silverado. The installation is self explanatory, but I still watched the video provided by e-trailer, and it made it that much easier to put in. Especially by myself. It works perfectly for the purpose I bought it for.
Good solid American made product, Good price (I couldn't build it for that) Instructions where good, hour installation w/air tools, shipping was fast and free, all hardware was there (nothing missing). I would order again and would recommend.

All good
The hitch came packaged in a double box. The outer box had some damage but the hitch did not.
I read the instructions, making sure i had the correct tools, and jacked my truck up.
The install took three hours as i was layiing on my back with simple hand tools.
The parts all fit and i am happy with the outcome. Good price, simple instructions, good fit.

It worked out great, I use a winch, and can move it to the front or rear as needed.
As always never disappointed e trailer are the people I always recommend to all my friends and family.Great customer service and quality products.
I could not install it the way the installation guided. The frame mount did not line up to allow me to get the bolt through the frame and into the bar. It was short by 1/2 inch and I did not have enough play to allow the bolt hole to line up. I had to install the bar first and then the receiver to the brackets and use a floor jack to out the receiver into position to boot it up to the plates.
