Question:
I have this hitch for my 2014 Silverado 1500 and wanted to put this hitch on his 2015 Silverado 1500. The hitch doesn’t come up as being compatible with his truck. Looked at his truck and the bolt pattern looks the same. Can you provide any additional information why this hitch isn’t compatible?

I spoke with Curt about the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C15323 for your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and they stated that the reason this is not a confirmed fit is because the factory light duty bumper mount hitch must be removed and GM states not to remove this on the 2015 model year. It will bolt onto the vehicle just fine but the issue is with the removal of the factory light duty bumper mount hitch. There was also a generation change between 2014 and 2015.
Therefore, I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13175 which does not require the removal of the factory light duty bumper mount hitch.
