Question:
I have a 2002 Chevy Suburban 2500 and wanna replace the hitch. The Curt C15324 shows as being good for 2003-2006 Suburbans. Ive always been told a lot of parts are the same for 2000-2006 Suburbans. Does this hitch fit the 2002 cause I do like the weight rating on it? Thanks

The Curt Class V # C15324 is confirmed to fit the 2003 model year but not the 2002.
For your 2002 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 I suggest the Curt Class IV # 14080. It doesn't require any driling to install like the Draw-Tite for your truck does. The maximum gross trailer weight is 12,000 pounds when using a weight distribution system, which I definitely recommend if you're going to towing that much weight.
I looked up some specs on your truck and as far as I could find it's maximum towing capacity is 12,000 pounds. Adding a hitch receiver that's rated higher than your vehicle will not increase the vehicle's capacity. You will still be limited by the lowest rated component.
If you also need trailer wiring for your Suburban the Wiring Harness # C59496 will provide you with the 4-way trailer connector. To then add a 7-way use # ETBC7 to finish the installation.
