The kit includes all necessary hardware and instructions, so you can finish in 20 to 30 minutes, even faster if you're a pro. Just grab a floor jack and a couple of sockets, and you're good to go.

Uncompromising Strength: Sturdy Square-Tube Design

Worried about strength and durability? The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver boasts a robust square-tube design, built to withstand rigorous towing demands. 2004 Chevy Avalanche

Received the trailer hitch very fast and took me 30min or less to put it on looks and work's great very pleased with this product how it fits on my 2004 Avalanche

by:

Product was just as described. Super fast shipping. Price matched with no issues. I enjoy doing business with etrailer.

by:

Excellent quality. Installation was a breeze Took myself and my wife 20 minutes to lift it into place and fasten.

My only complaint is that it leaves no room on the bumper to attach the trailer socket. I had to mount the socket further to the side than I would have liked.

by:

Great service, quick delivery and best price. Hitch was shipped very fast and arived in perfect condition. Easy install. Unfortunatly I will have to come up with a mount for the trailer rec. since the factory hitch had the bracket for it and its no longer on the truck.

by:
2005 GMC Yukon

I bought the C15524 Class V Curt hitch for my 2005 Yukon. The product was received at my front door in three days!! Everything was in good condition and the product was as advertised. Installation was a piece of cake. I had been quoted $60.00 to have it installed but after watching the installation video I decided to do it myself. It couldn't have been easier. It took about 30 minutes from unpacking to drive away. An excellent product and great service from etrailer.

by:
2005 Chevrolet Suburban

Installed on a 2005 Chevy Suburban 5.3 V8 and took about 1/2 hour from start to finish. Installation was simple and was able to mount on the frame with the bolt holes aliening up just perfect. I needed to remove the bumper mounting bolt on each end. Hitch is heavy duty. I used the car jack to hold it in place. It took me longer to remove the packing tape than to install the hitch.

by:
2004 GMC Yukon XL

First, let me say that the hitch itself is brutally strong. No issues.
However; the mount on the 2004 Yukon XL is weak, and towing my 8,000 lb trailer load started to bend the frame ends. I've towed this trailer and load probably 10,000 miles with my '94 K2500 pickup, but the pickup hitches have a much longer mount that bridges the rear spring shackle. The Yukon/Suburban of this vintage, as I discovered, are famous for bent frames. So, it's no fault of Curt that GM made a weak area for the hitch, but both Curt and etrailer should note that you cannot put as much tongue weight on this hitch as it's rated for and get very far, particularly in freeway construction zones.
I'm happy enough because it's better than the factory hitch and with a weight distributing hitch it would be no problem. Still, it needs to be noted in the descriptions before purchase.

I removed this hitch and replaced it with a Draw-Tite UltraFrame, which has longer mounts like the pickup hitch. I only had to drill 2 new holes forward in the frame. Curt should discontinue this hitch and upgrade to a long mount version.

by:

The hitch fits well, but it did not have the electrical connector receiver that the original hitch had, so I had to cut the old electrical connection plate off my old hitch and weld it to my new hitch

2004 Cadillac Escalade

So Happy with this Curt Custom Heavy Duty Class V Receiver Hitch.
Fits Perfectly behind my plastic bumper on my 2004 Cadillac Escalade EXT.
It looks factory installed. Definitely more stout in construction than the OEM
that came off. OEM receiver hitch was rated for 5000 pounds, this Curt is rated for 17000 pounds, Big Difference. Took me by my self less than 1 hour to install. I used the Curt supplied bolts and factory bolts per instructions. I had the factory trailer light receptacle trimmed and tack welded to the Curt Hitch. I have a large boat and now confident in this heavy duty hitch. Thanks etrailer here are some pictures

The Curt class V hitch still performing in an excellent manner. This solid hitch has handled my boat with ease. After inspection and one years use, the welds remain intact with no corrosion or paint delamination. Still very happy I replaced the factory hitch with this hitch. Follow manufacturers max tow rating for your vehicle for safety.

by:

We haven't used the hitch too many times, but it's worked great when we have. Before I installed it, I painted over the corners, as well as added silicone in the gaps where pieces meet & there wasn't a weld... just for added corrosion protection. No complaints, as it's just a hitch and works as such.

Its 2 years now, no issues, corrosion per usual for new york, 116 or so on the corners is peeling up, but the rest of the paint is fine. The spots with no welds, where I silicone, are rust free. Probably have around 6000 miles all year round, 14 of that may have actually used the hitch at all, and that would be a ~4000 load.

2003 Chevrolet Suburban

Well made receiver hitch. No drilling required. The install was easy, but I would recommend having a helper to help hold the hitch while getting the first bolts started. Also, there is no bracket included to hold the factory trailer wiring receptacle, so you will need to figure something out for that. This hitch is noticeable heavier duty than the factory one.

by:

Very nice and heavy duty hitch. Install was no problem. Installed on 2003 gmc yukon xl denali in about an hour. Replaced a original rusted out hitch. I have denali trim package so rear bumper cover may protrude a bit...no big deal. If you have regular yukon should be fine.

This hitch fits great and I didn't have to remove the spare tire. Easy installation.

2002 Chevrolet Suburban

Shipped quick, good price, well made. I installed this on a 2002 Avalanche 2500 with plastic cladding. There was some minor trimming required on the plastic(Dremel to the rescue).
You will need to attach the bracket from factory hitch,or add a bracket for trailer connector. It took longer to trim the plastic than it it did to install the hitch. The hitch fits like glove once trimmed, and is 80%hidden.
Factory hitch has been known to fail, due to design and wall thickness in my opinion.
The Curt class V hitch has a much thicker wall thickness and it's a square tube design rated much higher than factory for tongue weight and overall towing ability.I tow a 34 foot toyhauler that was at the limit of factory hitch, this hitch is rated 5000lbs heavier than oem and it shows once you compare the two.

by:
2004 Chevrolet Tahoe

I bought this hitch after realizing the stock hitch on my 2004 Tahoe was undersized for my trailer. This one is rated way higher than my truck will ever be able to haul; but on towing devices, overkill isn't a bad thing. This hitch is extremely beefy, way heavier than the stock hitch. It was very easy to bolt up due to the access holes in the Tahoe frame. Removing the spare isn't necessary, but it does make access easier. The quality of the welds, paint, fitment, and even hardware is exceptional. And as always, etrailer's customer service is next to none.

by:
2003 GMC Yukon XL

After I realized that I was towing a boat and trailer that was almost twice the rating of my original hitch, I decided to update to the Curt Class V. The hitch is much heavier and it is very well made. The installation was very easy and all the hardware fit perfectly. I decided to move my trailer connector into the bumper at the same time.

I now have the confidence to tow my boat anywhere without worry.

etrailer had the best price and the fastest shipping. I have always had great service with them

by:

Fast shipping. High quality hitch that was easy to install

by:
2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Much heavier duty than the OEM one and appears to be well made with quality coating. It should not bend like the OEM did (why I upgraded to this beast). Was a snug fit between the rear crossmember on a 05 2500 Suburban, but easy to wedge up in there using a floor jack. The hitch sits around 2” higher than the OEM so will need to Adjust all the hitches accordingly. Only complaint is lack of integrated bracket for the trailer wiring otherwise would have been 5 stars.

by:

looks very durable and Heavy duty compared to the original. have not put it to the test just yet but I think it will do just fine! plan on towing a 20ft car trailer lets see how it goes!

by:

Perfect fit for my vehicle and excellent quality

by:

I realize this not the first time I’ve ordered from etrailer
And using the fitment tool has always got me an exact match for my needs. Its been Chevy Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado. Each time has been easy bolt on. Nothing to fear. This last time I wore out the Tahoe’s factory receiver with my travel trailer so I installed the Curt XD
xx lbs rated. Beautiful clean match. Thank You !

Hey Charlie! The Timbren item # TGMRSB4S isn't going to be a fit because it only works with the 2500 Yukon's. From what my system tells me the 2005 GMC Yukon XL Denali AWD is a 1500 model.
