Question:
Is there a hitch for my truck that does not require me to remove my bumper in order to install it?

Expert Reply:
The bumper does not need to be removed when installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III part # 13323 on a 2009 Toyota Tacoma, but three of the bolts that hold the bumper in place will need to be loosened and two will need to be removed in order to properly mount the hitch. The loosened bolts will be re-tightened and the removed bolts will be replaced by supplied bolts upon completion of the installation.
Because the bumper will not be properly mounted during this install it will be necessary for you to support the bumper to prevent it from dropping down.
In order to complete your towing setup you may also need a Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring for the 2009 Toyota Tacoma part # 118496. and a Trailer Hitch Ball Mount - 3/4 inch Rise or 2 inch Drop, 7,500 lbs part # C45010. For a trailer ball, use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 19247 for a 2 inch ball. And pin and clip # PC3.
I have linked you to the recommended parts, as well as install details and an install video for the recommended hitch.
