Replacement Rear Wheel Holder for Thule T2 Classic Bike Rack

Question:
one of my strap holders broke where it connects to the body of the wheel holder so I need a replacement. I see that this is for fat tire bikes but will it work with road bike tires? does it ratchet down like the T2 Pro? I also like the pad on the strap so it doesnt scratch my wheel. thanks!

For the T2 Classic Thule Bike rack the replacement wheel holder is the part # 7521568001. Due to its design it can be used with fat tires or regular tires like your road bike.
