I have a 916xtr and the buckle to Rachet the strap is broken will this part fit this rack and solve my problem

The rails that the rear wheel holders fit on is different between the Thule T2 Pro and the T2 916XTR so # 7521682001 is not a fit for the 916XTR. Instead you can use # 7521568001 which does fit. The strap and buckle are included so it will fix your problem.

Thule upgraded the rear wheel cradle when they rolled out the T2 Classic which uses this same wheel cradle. It is a bit wider than the original because it is now compatible with fat bike tires.

Thanks for getting me the pictures of your Thule T2! From that I can tell you have the T2 Classic like #TH9044 and the correct wheel holder would be the part #7521568001. This would also work on the #TH9044-TH9046.
