Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima replacement wheel tray. This is going to replace the rear wheel tray for your Yakima ForkLift or FrontLoader roof mounted bike rack. This is a direct replacement from Yakima, so you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of that original rear wheel tray, so no worries about fit issues or compatibility problems or anything like that. And you can see this does have the ratcheting strap there to hold your bike in place, so very easy to operate, and it is gonna fit right in place of that original on your bike rack, so it's gonna make sure that your bike is secured properly to your roof mounted bike rack. So that completes our look for today.
Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Just what I needed. eTrailer is the perfect place for odds and ends in fixing and maintaining trailers/bike carriers etc. Good selection and reasonable prices.
Worked perfectly!
So completely satisfied with this part fits and works perfectly!
Ordered some replacement parts for a couple of used Yakima Frontloader racks I picked up recently. The prices on everything I needed were excellent! Shipping was upgraded for free by etrailer, which was very much appreciated. I will most definitely be using etrailer again for when I need parts, or when I purchase new racks.
I sprung the little ratchet strap on the wheel tray of my Yakima Frontloader bike carrier. Yakima's website was dreadful and no help at all. I remembered I had purchased the rack from etrailer.com so went there and they had exactly what I needed—easy to find and at a very reasonable price. It was a small part so I had to pay shipping, but the part fit like a glove and I'm back in action.
I have a couple of older Yakima Front Loaders -the straps aren't long enough for the modern-day plus size tires. These new ones are just what I needed as they are plenty long enough to secure said plus size tires. Ain't that cool ! ?
Etrailer; great great service and inventory and many many very very good videos.

I don’t like being wasteful, so when my bike rack broke, I tried to find a replacement part. I looked at the Yakima site and could not find it. Amazon seemed like it wasn’t going to be a guarantee fit. Etrailer was great. It was back ordered and they kept me informed on what was going on with the part and I think I’m the replacement part is better than the OEM part. I’ve had it for a year and still no problems
When Yakima told me there would be a long delay in getting a rear wheel tray for my bike roof rack they suggested I contact etrailer. etrailer was an absolute pleasure to deal with; there were some delays in the manufacturer shipping schedule but etrailer kept me advised week-by-week and included a phone number if I had questions. I would highly recommend etrailer.
Doesn’t ratchet like the original wheel tray, but it works great.
I accidentally left the end cap off of my Yakima FrontLoader and the original that this part replaced flew off somewhere on the highway. This was a perfect fit with no issues! The strap feels a little more rigid than the original but no issues in terms of how it works.
Part exactly what I needed. Great communication and help with getting tbe correct piece. Shipping was prompt also. Many thanks!
Cheap price for good quality. Fast ship ping
Poor design by Yakima. Excellent replacement part by etrailer! Thanks guys…
This part, which I needed to make my bike rack, functional, came promptly after I ordered it and fit perfectly. I’m very happy with your company.
It fit perfect on a old frontloader. Order process was easy to complete
I originally tried to order the part directly from Yakima and found out that the shipping cost from Yakima was almost $20.00. Totally outrageous. The Yakima customer service rep told me to check out your company, which was a great move. The order was placed and the item was shipped very quickly. I will have to consider your company on future rack orders.
Works perfectly with my Yakima Frontloader rack. Also it will hold a bigger tire than the original strap on the OEM part.
So far so good, haven't put the bike on yet, but it fits the rack very well
Perfect replacement for the rear tray on a couple of Yakima FrontLoaders that I have. The old trays had the ratchets break and also the strap was too short for newer mountain bikes with bigger tires (2.6”) but these straps are slightly longer and fit the fatter tires fine. Shipped quick and easy plug & play. These do not ratchet similar to the originals but that doesn’t seem to make much difference in how well they hold. See the old original tray in back of the new tray in my review photo.
I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality of this piece being it was so affordable. watch out Yakima!!
Looks good. Fits perfectly into the Frontloader. Thanks!
A great replacement for the OE part on my Yakima Roof Rack! Definitely the better choice if you’re looking to save some money without skipping out on quality vs buying the replacement piece from Yakimas website.
This replacement worked perfectly on my Yakima FrontLoader and I saved money by going through etrailer. I've purchased bike racks and hitches through etrailer in the past and have always had excellent customer service and support. One very minor thing to note is that when I tried to slide this replacement onto the rail, it wouldn't go on because of plastic residue in two spots on the inside. It took about 5 seconds to file them down and then it slid on smoothly.
Fit perfectly - I put this and an end cap on a $30 rack from marketplace, and sold it for $150. That makes good financial sense to me. I guess I’m going to start a YouTube channel: OG Rack Flipper.
The tightening tab on the rear wheel tray of my Yakima bike carrier broke while I was on vacation. I ordered a new part as soon as I got home and it was delivered three days later. It took me two minutes to switch old for new. I am ready for my next weekend ride with confidence before the week was out. Etrailer delivered the part I expected and was promised and it came a day earlier than promised! A great experience.
