The Detail K2 Avalanche Snowplow for 2-Inch Hitches # K2AVAL8219 is intended to install into a 2-inch hitch receiver. In most cases a plow will be used on a front-mounted hitch but a rear-mounted hitch can also be used.
Rear-mounted 2-inch hitches are offered for your 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan, such as etrailer hitch # e98906, which is the one I recommend. This hitch installs without drilling but does require a bit of fascia trimming. All required hardware is included with the hitch. The only specialized tool needed is a torque wrench like # ALL944001. I linked for you an installation video showing this hitch installed on your same model year Tiguan. When installed on your car this hitch will be at an appropriate height above ground for use with the SnowSport plow.
