The Detail K2 Avalanche Snowplow for 2-Inch Hitches # K2AVAL8219 is intended to install into a 2-inch hitch receiver. In most cases a plow will be used on a front-mounted hitch but a rear-mounted hitch can also be used.

Rear-mounted 2-inch hitches are offered for your 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan, such as etrailer hitch # e98906, which is the one I recommend. This hitch installs without drilling but does require a bit of fascia trimming. All required hardware is included with the hitch. The only specialized tool needed is a torque wrench like # ALL944001.
