Simple, cheap, strong, works. I love it when I find products like this: it fit perfectly, the bolts are grade 8 hardened, and the hitch installed very easily. A perfect addition to my VW Tiguan. Thank goodness for great engineering.
Super easy to install. Had this installed in 10 minutes or less. I would suggest to get a good wire brush to clean out the threads on the vehicle. A little rust can make your job much harder. Pre prep goes a long way!

Super useful and amazing, was a plug and play package basically. Vw already had the cut out area marked on my car so made it even easier. Cut the plastic, bolted the hitch and boom I’m done. I purchased a hitch for my Volkswagen Tiguan, after watching the video on installation, I mounted the hitch last night, went as smooth as glass. Etrailer gave great instructions, if you have any slight mechanical ability, you too can install with no problem. I am going to tackle the wiring tonight, only thing, that will be a brother is routing the wire from the rear to the front of the car underneath. But I don't expect any problems with it either.
Perfect fit for my 2018 VW Tiguan. Matte black, made in USA etrailer hitch is the way to go. Matches the vehicle nicely. Videos on the website were very helpful. Easy install.
Easy to install in 20min because prior to that I had to cut the fairing with a cutting tool.
Once installed I am thinking to buy the rubber cap to protect it and have a better looking when nothing is attached.

I’m 79 years old and installed it by myself, laying on the ground. The hardest part was getting back up to a standing position.
Product looks and feels like good quality. Installation was a breeze with the provided instructions. Fitment is excellent. Tiguan isn’t rated for heavy loads but this hitch will certainly hold for anything the Tiguan is able to pull. Communication from etrailer.com was the best!
