Question:

Can I use a 790 hy power diode series in place of the 690 application cant find the spec on the 790? I want to put the 790 between the vehicle 12v battery13.5v charging supply and the caravan 12v battery to stop feed back and protect the vehicle batterys. I have access to a 790. limited access for supply of 690 diodes.

The # RM-690 has a 85 amp capacity and the # RM-790 also has an 85 amp capacity. For preventing backfeed on a circuit either diode will work just fine as long as the amperage of your setup stays under the rating for either diode.

The biggest advantage the # RM-790 has other than the higher capacity is that it can be used with two different inputs.
