How to Determine Where the Curt Hitch 14080 Will Install In Relation to Rear Bumper
Updated 06/24/2015 | Published 06/23/2015 >
Question:
Hi, Looking to put the curt14080 hitch on a 2001 suburban, looking to see if you have dimensions from the bumper mount holes to the tip of the receiver and back to the cross bar? Im looking for a hitch that sits up tight to the bumper, does not stick out past the bumper and hopefully is set back far enough to have the 7-way mounted in front of it. I got dimensions for the Draw-tite 41930 and that one sits about 1+ below the bumper and extends out 1 1/2. The Curt hitch looks like it mounts up tight to the bumper. it would be nice if you had a pic of the hitch on the vehicle for every hitch! I have attached the drawing of the draw-tite, looking for the same for the Curt. Thanks, Bob

I spoke to my contact at Curt and he informed me that from the center of the mounting holes that are on the mounting bracket on top of the hitch opening to the end of the opening measures 1-1/2 inches.
