Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the BulletProof Hitches two ball mount for a two inch hitch. Offers a four inch drop or a four inch rise and a 10,000 pound maximum gross towing weight capacity. Now this is a two ball mount, so it'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank right here is what'll slide into your two inch hitch receiver on your vehicle. Now it does not come with a hitch pin and clip.
Basically when you install this in your hitch receiver, it will require a hitch pin and clip or even a hitch lock to secure it. Both of those items we do sell separately on our website. The pin hole diameters are five-eighths of an inch. The hitch balls up front here is what'll provide the connection point for your trailer coupler. And if you notice, they are two different size hitch balls, either a two-and-five-sixteenths diameter or a two inch diameter.
So it's gonna let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes and you can switch the balls very easily. All you have to do is remove this clip and this pin and that'll release the dual ball mount and then you can flip it over to get what ball size you need. So it makes it very simple to do. Now when you do tow, the gross towing weight will be determined by the ball size you use. So if you use the larger two-and-five-sixteenths ball, it's 10,000 pounds.
If you use the smaller two inch ball, it's 8,000 pounds and the maximum tongue weight capacity will be 1,000 pounds. And this does offer an adjustable height, so you can let you tow trailers with different heights with the same vehicle. Basically, you can see the four holes here gives you four different mounting positions. So basically this hitch ball, again, if you move the pin and clip, you'll be able to slide it up and down the channel and then secure it in the place you need to be, have your tow as level as possible. Does include the pin and clip.
So if you put this in the lowest position, the maximum drop it'll give you is four inches. If you flip this over and put it in the highest position, the maximum rise it'll get you is four inches. This is a light duty steel construction. Has a quarter inch thick channel frame, which is strong and durable. In the back here you can see the gusset. It is a three-eighths inch thick welded gusset plate. This will brace the shank and the channel, and the hitch balls you can see are welded to the ball platform for extra sturdiness. The finish on it is a nice matte black powder coat finish to resist corrosion. If you notice, they do also include a tube of anti-friction grease to put on the balls and the coupler for lubrication. This does meet the SAE J684 certification. Application, as we mentioned, fits a two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. So this ball mount is ideal for vehicles with an 18 inch to 19 inch clearance from your ground to the bottom of the inside of your receiver tube on your vehicle. Last thing to give you is a few dimensions. We're gonna measure the distance between, there's two hitch pin holes here to the center of the ball. So if we measure from the first one or the one closest to the ball, you can see it's gonna be nine inches. And if we go to the furthest, the hole furthest from the ball, it's gonna be ten-and-a-half inches center to center. And the total weight on this ball mount is about 21 pounds. But that should do it for a look at the BulletProof Hitches two ball mount for a two inch hitch, has a four inch drop and a four inch rise.
